9. Jehovah Mekadishkem (Lord our Sznctifier) (Exodus : 31: 12, Leviticus 20:8)
Lord is our God who is the sanctifying God. He cannot be compared with pagan Gods who do not care for holy living. Our God will never compromise on one thing that is on His holiness. While choosing us to follow Him, He has set apart us to be partakers of His divine nature. Without holiness no man shall see the Lord.
Nothing is holy in the sight of Lord unless covered by the atoning blood of Jesus Christ. In John chapter 17 Jesus prayed the greatest intercessory prayer that they may be sanctified by truth. The Word of God is truth. Jesus is the way, truth and the life. Jesus is the living Word of God and Bible is the written word of God. A man is cleansed by both. The written word of God and living Word of God are doing the same work in a believer’s life. (Ephesians 5:26) Constant meditation on the word of God will cleanse us thoroughly in all our attitudes and thoughts.
“Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed thereto according to thy word.” (Psams: 119: 9) God of Peace is our sanctifying God. (1 Thessalonians Thessalonians 5: 23) Jesus became our redemption and sanctification.(1 Corinthians 1O 30)
